What you can edit
Typically your homepage hero: rotating headlines, supporting text, buttons and their links, and background photos with descriptions. If your site has events, you can manage those too.
Exact fields vary by site. Other pages are preview-only, so send a request for changes there.
Option 1: Just ask (Requests tab)
- Choose Content edit.
- Describe the change. Tip: click the text in the preview first to target that exact spot.
- Review the suggestion.
- Click Apply to draft or Dismiss.
- Save draft, then Publish, then Confirm publish.

Option 2: Edit it yourself (Fields tab)
- Type your new wording into the field.
- Watch the character counter. A dot (●) means the field is different from your live site.
- Save draft, check the preview, then Publish.

Changing a photo
- Click Upload photo and choose a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB.
- Wide photos (at least 1600px across) look sharpest in the hero.
- Phone photos are turned upright automatically.
- You can paste a web address for a photo instead of uploading.
- Always add a photo description. It helps visitors using screen readers and helps search.

Button links
A button link can be any of these:
- /page for a page on your own site
- https://… for another website
- mailto: to open an email
- tel: to start a phone call
Events
- Click Add for a new event, or the pencil to edit one.
- Fill in the title, date, times, description, photo, ticket link and type.
- Use the arrows to reorder events on the same day.
- The trash icon deletes an event. You can restore it from Deleted.

Undo a mistake (History)
- Open History.
- Click Restore this version or Restore version before.
- Check the preview, then publish.
Restoring only changes your draft. Your live site stays as it is until you publish.

Tips for good requests
- Be specific about what should change and where.
- Make one change per request.
- Keep headline lines short, up to 40 characters each.
- Describe the tone you want.
- Check both desktop and mobile before you publish.
What Summit Basecamp can't do
New pages, new sections, and layout or design changes. Send these from Requests as a Layout / code change and the Summit team will review it. Stuck, or something looks broken? Email hello@summitstudio.ai.
FAQ
When do visitors see changes?+
Only after you click Publish and then Confirm publish. Drafts are private.
What if I make a mistake after publishing?+
Open History, restore the earlier version into your draft, check it, then publish.
What if someone else is editing at the same time?+
The second person gets a warning instead of overwriting the first person's work. Refresh and try again.
Why was a suggestion dropped?+
It touched something outside the editable areas. Send it as a Layout / code change request instead.
What does “This section couldn't load” mean?+
Click Retry. If it keeps happening, email hello@summitstudio.ai.
What photos can I upload?+
JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB.
Can I break the site?+
No. Only approved spots are editable, inputs are checked, and you can roll back from History.
